Harbour Island

Harbour Island lies just northwest of Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. It is well known for pink sand beaches stretching out for three miles on the east with the bay being only roughly one half mile to the west.

Dunmore Town, is the only town on Harbour Island and is one of the oldest settlements in the Bahamas.

Over 300 years old, Dunmore Town was the first capital of the Bahamas. An odd and marvelous collision of New England cozy colorful Caribbean, the mélange of colors, scents and people is intoxicating. Part 18 century fishing village and part Hollywood movie set, there’s a distinct divinity about this little piece of paradise.
